AboutFollowing an extensive $140 million redevelopment, Daydream Island Resort offers 280 refurbished modern rooms and suites.
There is an expanded food and beverage offering with three restaurants and three bars across the island, giving guests a plethora of options catering to every need. An exciting Asian Fusion restaurant has been added to the collection of dining venues to sit alongside the Buffet and Modern Australian Restaurants.
Guests can dive into a snorkelling adventure at any time of the day or explore the island and surrounding Great Barrier Reef Marine Park by helicopter, sailboat or jet ski. Daydream Island Resort has activities for all ages with swimming pools, coral beaches, gym facilities and unlimited access to non-motorised water activities. The Kids Club is a haven for children with an exciting range of activities on offer each day.
The island offers a revitalised pool landscape that will wind through the tropical gardens across the resort allowing guests to swim and enjoy unparalleled views across the Whitsundays Great Barrier Reef. The swimming hub is complemented by the poolside Barefoot Bar, inclusive of a new dining concept serving gourmet burgers, sliders, pork ribs and chicken wings with fresh smoothies, milkshakes, wine, beer and tropical cocktails.
The Living Reef has made its return to the island in an even bigger and better way, further cementing its eco-friendly and educational focus. The free form coral lagoon will wrap 200m around the central building and hold over 1.5 million litres of water. Guests will have the option to join the team of marine biologists who live on the island, taking part in a guided fish feed tour and on other island tours such as feeding the baby stingrays, snorkelling adventures in the Living Reef or taking part of the free daily fish feeding, home to over 100 species of marine fish, coral and invertebrates such as starfish, sea cucumbers and crabs.
The new underwater observatory offers a unique aspect of the Living Reef four metres below the water's surface where you can watch the marine life in action or take memorable photos of family and friends snorkelling their depth. Kids will have the chance to become eco-warriors at Kids Club as they explore and learn about the Living Reef while playing and feeding the animals who call it home, amongst a range of other activities around the island.
